question_answer Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible for the SPhL Grand Finals?
The top 32 teams from the Senior Category in SPhL 2025 will be invited to the SPhL Grand Finals, a fully in-person event at SUTD, from 12:30 PM to 7:00 PM on 19 July 2025.
What are the awards?
All participants will receive goodie bags filled with exclusive merchandise from SPhL and our sponsors! All teams will be awarded physical certificates based on their performance. The top 3 teams will also receive special prizes!
What if I'm not free for the full duration of the event?
The actual competition will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. While we strongly encourage all participants to stay for the entire event, you may be allowed to leave after 5:00 PM at the discretion of the Organising Team. If any members from your team intend to leave early, please inform us in advance by emailing contact@sgphysicsleague.org
What if not all members of the team are available on the day of the event?
We will require at least 3 team members to be present. In the case that your team is invited but less than 3 members are free, please contact us at contact@sgphysicsleague.org
Will the problems be similar to those in the online SPhL?
Nope! The competition mechanics and problem format will be completely different. Each problem will be longer and focus more deeply on a specific physics phenomenon. For a good reference, you can check out past problems from the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) .
