SPhL 2026 Grand Finals was held on 18th July for Junior teams and on 25th July for Senior teams, at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). This was the first time that SPhL Grand Finals was held for the Junior category.

Participants worked through 6 IPhO-style theory questions and 2 experimental questions, split between a morning and afternoon session. Each question was worth 100 points, with many subparts ranging in difficulty.

While the theory question subparts were marked on the spot at our marking stations, experimental responses were carefully graded by our OT after each session, taking into account methodology, workings and graphs.

After the competition, Junior contestants were treated to a special lecture delivered by Prof. Dario Poletti from SUTD. Senior contestants were engaged by Prof. Kwek Leong Chuan from CQT (NUS). We are truly grateful to both of them for gracing the events and sharing their time and insights!
